Heritage Machines

I am struggling to jump off the fence. I am straddling the two worlds with one focused on the commercialization of a fashion house which does not attract me and the other sharing my passions around heritage sewing machines and old world sewing culture. I would still like to design and make fashion but for the content and knowledge share aspect.

Much like a cooking channel sharing a new recipe and making it in real-time. The hard thing is trusting your instincts and going against what you know. These industry fashion systems were never made for the start-up entrepreneur so I might as well make the things I love rather than trying to fit into a box that cannot hold. I recently searched heritage sewing machines and a video I filmed two-years ago was at the top of the search engine.

I hope I can get better at trusting my instincts by creating fashion education that is entertaining. Fashion in many was has been a away to escape into a world of creativity and play. I hope that I can remember that aspect of being free to be simply me.

I have started reading about my machines and the various interesting details that makes them special in the lead up to an upcoming production of the collection.
