Let Go
The interesting thing about transition is that as we begin to shift gears and move away from what we have known there is a strong desire to shift into the comfort of old routines that feel familiar. Despite having verbally and digitally confirmed that the SEW BROMO school I have run for many years is now taking a backseat to my Elsa Fitzgerald dressmaking practice, I still find myself checking emails which is distracting.
This is probably going to be the hardest next move, but I know what I need to do and that is to fully pull the plug on SEW BROMO. That will mean deleting the instagram account and redirecting the website to Elsa Fitzgerald. It is time to archive the items that held that part of my life and begin to phase out and transition to this new fashion life.
I desire to give all my energy to fashion adventures that make my heart happy and to open my fashion dressmaking books and to begin sewing. I also desire to create more balance and harmony with my mind and body. I took this morning off to nourish my soul a bit. How might you be faithful to your dreams today? Where do you need to pull the plug?

This was many years back with fellow fashion designers in Baltimore at the Maryland Institute College of Art participating in a natural dyes program. I am wearing the traditional Indonesian Kebaya I had made on the Apprenticeship with Ibu Nuri Auger for the Maryland Traditions Folklife Apprenticeship.
